- Training Opportunities
The training program will be further developed to respond to educator needs across the field of respiratory disease, but currently includes the following:
- Basic Training Course in Asthma Education
- Practice Nurse Workshop in Asthma management/education
- Asthma Update for health professionals working in the field
- Charles Sturt University offers post graduate external courses in Respiratory Education/Science (grad cert/grad diploma/masters)
- Standards of Practice as developed to date
A guide to best practice in Asthma Education
- Credentialing Program as developed to date
National Credentialing Program for Asthma Educators commenced 2006
- Newsletter
National Quarterly Newsletter focussed on issues related to asthma/respiratory education
- Networking
Is promoted through meetings, professional development days, local networks and the website (which includes mailing list distribution service; website chat forums, networking directory & links to other relevant organisations).
